Some random randoms

Whole squishy mish-mash of stuff today.

• I chose not to run yesterday. It felt awesome.
• I started reading the book One Day, and it's really good. However, I'm two books away from finishing The Aeneid, so I've decided that I can't even look at One Day again until I've finished up with my BFF Virgil. Make no mention of Alison Weir's biography of Eleanor of Aquitaine that I started either.
• Other books on deck after those include: The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud, Don Quixote, Moby Dick (boooooo Melville), and Sneaker Wars.
• I love, love, love having a good friend who lives on the Cape and who lets me come down and stay over.
• I am going to eat my first plum EVER today. Or try to, anyway. I tried to eat a nectarine a couple weeks ago and I think I am allergic. Then a piece of skin got caught in the back of my throat, and I walked around the house making hacking and gagging noises for half an hour or so. Fun fun.
• I am excited beyond words for this. (There's not much there yet, but oh my God, is it going to be amazing.)
